Calling all drummers, dancers, clowns, musicians, acrobats, fire spinners, puppet makers, techies, artists, crafters, costumers, photographers, film-makers, event stewards and all-round amazing people who want to be part of a world-famous fire festival putting a modern twist on our Celtic traditions!

If you see yourself in this list, we’d like to invite YOU to get involved in our Beltane Fire Festival! Help us mark the turn of the seasons alongside hundreds of other volunteers and an audience of thousands in the beautiful city of Edinburgh.

We welcome back Summer with an epic public ritual in just a few months, and we’re kickstarting the preparations for Beltane Fire Festival with an Open Meeting in Edinburgh’s Methodist Church. Anyone with an interest in helping to create the festival is invited to come along and find out more.

The Beltane Fire Festival 2019 is Beltane Fire Society’s annual celebration of the end of Winter and the coming of Summer. Whether you’re a long-time BFS member, a seasoned performer, or you want to come along for the first time and give something new a go, Beltane Fire Festival offers an opportunity to learn new skills, meet new friends, and be part of a truly unique collaborative experience with a warm and welcoming community.

Why come to this Open Meeting?

We’ll break the festival down for you so you can learn about the performance and production groups you might want to join, talk to the organisers, get to know the story behind Beltane, and sign up to take part.

If you can’t make it but would still like to be involved, details of all performance and production groups (including contact information for the organisers) will be posted here at beltane.org shortly before the Open Meeting. You can email the individual organisers to let them know you’d like to be considered for their group if you can’t sign up in person.

Let us know you’re coming and help alert fellow Beltane enthusiasts by registering your attendance through Facebook.
