ALL TIMES ARE APPROXIMATE
8.00pm – Gates to Calton Hill open
9.15pm – Neid Fire is lit on the Acropolis and May Queen is revealed
9.30pm – Procession begins
9.45pm – Procession arrives at Fire Arch
10.00pm – Procession arrives at Air Point
10.15pm – Procession arrives at Water Point
10.30pm – Procession arrives at Earth Point
10.45pm – Procession arrives at Fire Point, Reds charge at Whites
11.00pm – Procession arrives at Red Slope, Reds and Beasties perform
11.15pm – Procession arrives at the stage for Green Man’s death and rebirth
11.30pm – Bonfire is lit by May Queen while other performances continue at the stage
12.00am – Reds and Whites dance at Bower
1.30am – Festival ends
There will be various performances throughout the event at Bower, the Acropolis and the stage. There will also be roaming groups performing across the hill.
Although our festival retains many traditions from year to year, it also changes and evolves based on the creative vision of the volunteers who create it. This means that while you’ll recognise various characters and aspects of the performance, no two years are exactly the same.
