“Pollution levels are dropping rapidly. From choked and discordant, the air is clearing. This piece was intended to be a Sound Art installation on Carlton hill, created from pieces of debris and recycled materials. Instead, we have taken sound clips from members of the community and layered them to create a soundscape to represent the Air element.
Whilst the human world is in pain, and isolation, we as people are struggling to emotionally come together – Discordance draws on the ways we’ve sought to overcome our new social barriers and bring joy with our messages sent through the intangible medium of air.”
