After the Scottish weather wreaked havoc with the opening event of the Grassmarket’s Christmas earlier this month, the winds of winter decided to be a bit kinder and allowed our Harbingers (AKA the Winter Drummers at Samhuinn 2015) and Winter Fire performers to take to the Community Stage and do their fabulous thing on Saturday. They’ll be appearing again at 5-6pm on 19th December and 2nd January, and Catsi will also be performing at 3.30pm on 19th December and 4.20pm on 20th December.

Big thanks to Martin McCarthy, one of our volunteer Photopoint members from the last couple of festivals. Like most BFS members, he has little concept of what “between-festival downtime” means and still rocked up to the Grassmarket with his camera to take some beautiful pictures!
