Earlier this month some of our members learnt new skills to help decorate and light our future festivals. As part of our ‘Working with Willow: lanterns and puppets and puppety-lanterns’ skill-sharing workshop, they spent three hours learning how to source and prepare willow, how to plan exciting projects ranging from willow lanterns and sculptures to giant puppets, and how to make those plans into reality.
We’re in the process of organising more workshops for BFS members as part of celebrations to mark our 30th Beltane next year and will be sharing details soon. For now, take a peek at these lovely photos of the willow workshop, from Photopoint volunteer Martin McCarthy.
You can see even more photos from our willow weaving workshop in this album on Facebook.
