After much consideration, we have decided to update our beloved website… we hope you like it!
Beltane.org is a chance for us to post our latest news, keep members informed, and let newcomers to Beltane find out more about our festival. We decided to update the look of the website homepage, incorporating a header designed by our 2017 poster artist, Natasa Ilincic, and making full use of the incredible photographs that our Photopoint volunteers take for us.
We’ve tried to keep the colours in a fiery, natural theme. And we’ve also had a reshuffle of the structure of the website, keeping the same content but re-ordering the menu in a way that we think simplifies navigation and keeps key info clear. There’s a new Members Section where volunteers can find up-to-date info about who’s who in the latest festival as well as information about how to become a member and what it entails. There’s also an ‘Essential Info’ page which is a one-stop page for everything you need to know about our festivals.
As we celebrate the 30th Beltane Fire Festival after the tradition was reignited on Edinburgh’s Calton Hill, it seemed like a good time to bring our online presence right-up-to-date in a way that we hope will keep inspiring new generations of Beltaners.
We will be continuing to work on improving the website in the coming weeks and months, so if you have any feedback or thoughts on the new look of our website, we’d love to hear them. You can get in touch via press[at]beltane[dot]org
