Help Make our Festival Complete

While we already have many of the groups that we need for our Samhuinn, we’re still looking for some people who could help take charge and make the night happen. Specifically, we’re after group organisers for Tech, Photo Point, and Summer performance groups.

If you would like to help organise any of these groups, please fill in application form here and email it to goapplications@beltane.org by 23:59 on Thursday, 24th August

Tech

Tech are the true heroes of the night, our wonderful production team who help us stage the festival by building props and fire sculptures, assembling staging, keeping the area safe, and the hundred and one little things that the performance and audience may not notice. We’ve taken on board feedback from last year’s festival, and plans are in place to ensure that this Samhuinn is an easier experience for Tech.

Photo Point

Photo Point are our Society’s photographers, who capture the key moments throughout the run-up and on the night. Beyond capturing the images that define our festivals in the press and on social media, they help us create a record of what happened each festival, giving us access to ideas and information that would otherwise be lost with the changing of the seasons – a vital benefit for a community performance such as ours.

Summer Groups

Winter is well-represented this year, but we would like to see some more applications for groups aligned with Summer. These could involve fire, acro, character performance, or other means of engaging with the story of Summer. The only thing we would note is that we are not looking for additional drumming groups at this time.
