Words from our Summer King

Hello, my name is Yvonne Armour. I will be taking on the role of Summer King for this Samhain festival. I want to embrace the warmth of summer and cling on the last embers that summer offers.
I want to embody the spirit of the last man standing at the party! I have no intention of handing over the crown peacefully. I will go down swinging and I look forward to having the community help me put up the last fight. I can’t wait to have you all stand with me as we make our last stand against the unstoppable force that is winter. When the veil is lifted between the realms to scream back that we are not ready to surrender to the darkness.

I aim to be the protector of the joy and lifeforce that happens in the summer months. Inevitably the summer must come to an end. This does not mean that the summer is forgotten. As with all things, nothing is permanent. It will be summer again.

If you want to help bring a Summer group to life, or help run our Tech and Photo Point groups, you have until midnight tonight (the 24th August) — see here for more detail
