Bad juju makes for good marshmallows

Contact Point had their weekend (not) away last weekend. Here’s some of what went on…

We wrote down our positive feelings, hopes, dreams and happy thoughts for Beltane night on little pieces of paper and sealed them in a wax poppet to keep in our space on the night. We put all our fears, anxieties, nervousness and negative feelings into another wax poppet…and burned him! Take that, negativity!

Let there be mirth in reverence! What better way to fight your anxieties than to cook marshmallows over the fire that burns your fears? And we didn’t forget about health and safety…

We also had a nature walk along a canal path, gathering wood for wands and staffs which we’ll be working on over the next few weeks. And…our smallest member discovered Steven’s sparkly cupcakes and was VERY happy indeed 🙂
