Hillusphere have created a Wish Tree as part of Beltane Fire Festival to engage both performers and audience alike. The Tree has been made using a recycled puppet from a previous festival and some other upcycled props. Members of Hillusphere will be present on Calton Hill throughout the day of Beltane to allow performers to attach pieces of fabric to the tree; focussing energies, wishes and hopes for the coming year. Audience members will be invited to share in this experience in the time leading up to the performance and add their wishes to the tree. It is hoped by the end of the evening there will be over a thousand wishes on the tree and that the dawn of May Day will bring these into fruition as the Summer is born.
