As we enter the dark half of the year, we present the first in a series of stories from our storytellers this Samhuinn, Tales From The Hearth. Between now and Samhuinn night, they will be telling tales and poems and singing songs connected to different aspects of our festival, and sharing them with you online.
This tale, The Horn of the Wild Hunt, introduces the shadow of certain figures from ancient folklore, who’ve have played a role in many of our Samhuinn Festivals, though absent in this year: the Wild Hunt themselves.
Beautifully told; clear and atmospheric.
